Rautomead, a leading manufacturing company, partnered with EGG Lighting to upgrade more than 300 fluorescent light fittings across its Dundee facility. The project was designed to improve sustainability, reduce energy costs and enhance workplace safety through upgraded emergency lighting.
Following a free site survey, the EGG Lighting team assessed the existing lighting installation and recommended a complete LED upgrade as the most effective solution.
A bespoke lighting scheme was developed to meet the specific requirements of each area within the facility, including offices, workshops, corridors and washrooms. The installation included high-IP-rated high-bay luminaires for industrial spaces, alongside tri-proof LED fittings designed to withstand dust and moisture.
The new lighting system was designed in line with recommended lighting levels for safe and efficient working environments. All LED fittings were supplied with a 5-year warranty and can be enhanced with lighting controls and sensors in the future, providing a flexible and long-lasting solution.
